KC Hurst

KC Hurst is an executive leader working across arts, culture, education, and institutional strategy.

My work has always centered on helping mission-driven organizations evolve, connect, and remain meaningful in a rapidly changing world.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across arts, culture, education, and nonprofit institutions in roles that have spanned brand, audience engagement, digital transformation, and organizational leadership. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to institutions including the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, the Dallas Museum of Art, and Austin Community College.

I currently serve as Chief Marketing and Experience Officer at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, where my work lives at the intersection of brand, operations, engagement, and customer experience. I’m especially interested in how organizations create experiences that deepen connection, build trust, and strengthen long-term institutional relevance.

I hold an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, which expanded my focus on executive leadership, organizational strategy, governance, and the future of nonprofit and cultural institutions.

What continues to inspire me most is the opportunity to help mission-based organizations navigate change while staying deeply connected to their purpose and communities. I’m drawn to work that strengthens relevance, sustainability, and impact — and to the leaders and institutions willing to thoughtfully reimagine what the future can look like.
